Had the pleasure of bumping in to Leigh Haworth and his lovely wife the other evening whilst out for a meal. After chatting I thought i'd check out the club website. It looks as though the clubs going great guns, well done, and good luck for 2009. It's good to see a few familiar faces on the website from my days at Frank Murphy's, so to everyone who knows me (and also those that don't!) Merry Xmas and a Happy New Year.

This club & it's fighter's keep getting bigger & stronger, now with our new assistant coach Jonathan Day we have all the club need's to get the best out of the student's. When ever I have had fight's at competion's or spectated at them the club crushes most of the other fighter's who step up to fight us. They go home & will not forgot the fight they had against one of our star kickboxer's, even if they go home winner's they would of been through a war. Star kickboxing is the right name for this club because very soon I shall be doing martial art's film's , so u could say that this club created a STAR. Many thank's to Paul,Leigh,Kevin, jonathan & lyn. You have all become my family.

It seems all your comments come from your club members. So here goes from a member of the family. I have seen Paul grow from a baby into the finest and fittest (dont tell him I said that)!!! young man. He has dedicated his whole life to Martial Arts, along with the most supportive and loving parents any child could wish for, hence he is a very lucky young man too!! Any member of Star Kickboxing should be privaliged not only to be taught by this amazing family but to know them on a personal level too. Love you guys so much!! xx

I have been with this club now since the start of 2007, i started just wanting to be able to defend myself around the street's but after my two free lessons i realised that kickboxing is what i'm alive for.Apart from family & friends kickboxing is all that matter's to me, it's my soul if you take it away nothing will be inside of me. My goal is to be the best, and with this club i will be. Massive thanks to Paul, Leigh, Kevin & lyn

prepare to become addicted!!!! if you join this fantastic club, ur be living, eating and sleeping kickboxing. not only do you learn the great art of kickboxing, but you make some great friends, get the oppotunity to go to competitions, summer camp, xmas parties, and weve even had a summer bbq. its like having another family. i joint star kickboxing when the club first started almost 2 years ago, i never thought i'd enjoy a sport so much. i'm fitter than i've ever been, and love training on mondays and wednesdays, recentally the instructors kindly give up 2 hours of their saturdays to train those who want help with extra sparring. ive been goin to this for the past month and ive learnt so much. im now just a much more confident person. kickboxing is for anybody, u dont have to be of any particular shape, size or gender, u can still be girley and really enjoy this sport. thanx to all the instructors and all my great friends at star kickboxing, couldnt ask for a better club.

Having done martial arts before for many years,i feel this club has to be the best. With wicked instructors who have surported me all the way from training to competitions. The training is hard, and pushes you to your limits but at the same time the club is very enjoyable and we can have a larf. Since i have started my fitness and confidence have grown greatly. Every student are brill people and it doesnt take long to make mates. Looking for a club, this the one. Thanks to every at kickboxing for all support specially at the competitions.

I've been at the club since day one. I can honestly say that i never thought i would stick to kickboxing after my other sad atempts of getting fit failed. But after the first 2 free lessons i knew i wouldn't quit. With the excellent instructors and a friendly group of students, i have made lots of new friends, managed to go down a jean size and can run a lap around Shorne Country Park without stopping for breath. And thats all thanks to you Paul, Leigh, Kevin, Lyn and all the other students at Star Kickboxing, i couldn't have done it without you. x x x

I have been with Star Kickboxing since the club began in September 2005, I originally started at the club just to lose weight after having my second child and my fitness levels were very poor. Well, what can I say - I thoroughly enjoy Kickboxing as a sport and I have lost weight, toned and my fitness levels have increased greatly. The Club is an extremely friendly environment for all ages, shapes and sizes, we make everyone feel welcome. If you are thinking of trying something new, come along and give it a go.

Having now trained with the club for nearly 2 years, I cannot recommend it enough to anyone. I have lost just over 3 stone in weight, and feel as fit as never before. The instructors are excellent, and make you feel like you can do anything. The club as a whole is just like an extended family, and now if I miss a session I feel guilty - believe me it can get addictive. If you are looking to get fit, have a laugh, and learn a very useful skill in the world as it is, then join this club! You won't regret a minute of it.
